Flexibility Comes From Shared Building Blocks
Two possible hands are meaningfully connected when they use many of the same tiles, not merely because they appear in the same card section. Repeated numbers, neighboring ranks, shared flowers, compatible dragons, and the same suit structure can create overlap.
A rack with two strong directions is often safer than a rack that appears one tile closer to a single brittle line. The closer hand may depend on a rare pair, a fixed suit, or a tile already visible several times.
